George Virvilis

General Manager

I have been fortunate enough to have spent a large part of my career at Mark Warner. After completing my studies in Hotel Management, I joined Mark Warner and started in the role of Restaurant Manager. I thoroughly enjoyed the seasonal life and worked for many seasons, both summer and winter in different roles and have been managing resorts since 2005. I am now in my 28th year with the company and am VERY excited about managing Karmari Beach Resort this summer. I look forward to welcoming you all where you can experience the lovely island of Rhodes and all is fantastic attractions.

"We are all really looking forward to welcoming you to Kamari Beach Resort and introducing you to the fantastic, recently added, sports and activity facilities – adult pool, spa and cocktail bar."

Justin Apps

Waterfront Manager

I started working for Mark Warner in 2021 as a watersports instructor in Rhodes. I then progressed to Waterfront Manager at Phokaia Beach Resort in 2022. I also thoroughly enjoy working for Mark Warner in the French Alps over the winter season. This year I have excitedly returned to the beautiful island of Rhodes where I can’t wait to explore the island’s history and enjoy its beautiful sunsets. I look forward to seeing you out on the water at Kamari Beach.

Emma

Hi, my name is Emma. I have been working for Mark Warner since 2021. I originally started as a Nanny, then progressed to Head of Childcare at Phokaia Beach Resort in 2023. This year, I've taken on the role of Childcare Manager at Kamari Beach. I have been working in the childcare industry for seven years and there is nothing better than doing what I love in the sunshine! I can't wait to see you all at Kamari Beach this summer.

Dining at Kamari

Quality food and drink are a central part of the Mark Warner approach to hospitality. Our restaurant teams at Kamari Beach Resort do an excellent job of making meal times occasions to relax and enjoy good company and some delicious food.

There are three restaurants at Kamari, with menus designed to suit all our guests. From sophisticated local sea food selections, to freshly prepared Greek meze and an abundance of choice for family dinners.

The Kamari hospitality team is largely a local team, many of whom have been welcoming Mark Warner guests to Rhodes for a number of years. Feel free to ask them for advice on local dishes and the excellent local wines, they’re sure to have their own favourites.

Main Restaurant

Your stay at Kamari Beach Resort is on a half board basis and includes breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant and terrace, situated on the ground floor of the hotel.

This is a wonderful spot to enjoy uninterrupted sea views in the morning and evening, with most guest opting to sit out on the terrace which has been extended for this summer.

The restaurant is buffet service and guests choose from a wide selection of nightly changing menus featuring freshly prepared, soups, salads and Greek meze alongside delicious grilled fish, traditional stews, international staples and vegetarian options. Homemade breads and desserts round things of nicely.

Breakfast is a Mark Warner institution with everything you need to kickstart your day. Whether that be porridge and a cooked breakfast to fuel a bike ride, or coffee, fruit and a pastry to ease your way down to the pool. All needs are catered for.

Greek Taverna

To the left of the hotel as you look up from the sea, just back from the beach is Kamari Beach Resort’s Taverna Restaurant.

Each day fresh seafood is brought in with daily changing specials depending on what was biting that morning.

Alongside delicious catch of the day options, the Greek taverna offers a range of meat and vegetarian dishes (payable locally).

Pool Bar

Sat on the beach, by the sail shed is Kamari’s pool and snack bar.

This shady spot is the perfect place for a relaxed lunch, a refreshing drink and a catch up on the morning’s activities.

The menu has a great choice of homemade dishes ranging from Greek salads and grills, to burgers, pastas and pizzas to keep kids fuelled for the day.
